Our history
More than 30 years of serving Mill Plain families
Mill Plain United Methodist Preschool has been part of this community for over 30 years. We have watched shy three-year-olds become confident kindergartners, welcomed younger siblings, and greeted parents who once attended themselves. That continuity is rare, and we treasure it.
Through every season, our purpose has stayed the same: to give children a first school experience filled with warmth, structure, and genuine joy.

We nurture a love of learning in the young child.
We believe that parents hold the primary responsibility for their children’s education, and that a good preschool stands beside the home as a trusted partner. As a ministry of Mill Plain United Methodist Church, we bring together strong academics and Christian care to build a foundation children carry for life.
We hold high expectations for every child, and we honor that each one learns at an individual pace. Our job is to meet children where they are and walk with them toward all they can become.

Kathy Dailey
Our preschool is led by Director Kathy Dailey, whose care for children and families is felt from the first hello.
Kathy has been working in early childhood education for the past 14 years. Her love for teaching is because of the children and building the foundation of love for learning
